2013 in Review (6/7): The Top Thirteen Moments
There's no denying 2013 was a wild, wild ride for Club Penguin players. But what will go down as the top moment of this thirteenth year of the twenty-first century?
2013 in Review (4/7): The Worst of the Best
I have never really hated anything Club Penguin has put out there, but there's always just that one thing that was pretty good but you just shrug your shoulders when you recall it. Since first is apparently the worst, we'll get to what I think fell short before we get to the best.

No Time Like the Present
Author J.K. Rowling once said that in a fantasy series, a writer has to be careful about what technology they create. If they don't, plot holes could begin forming and the credibility of the book could be lost.
She was referring to one of her inventions in the Harry Potter series: a Time Turner, which allows the user to go back in time.

Just a Pawn in a Game
*Note: This blog post is almost a sequel to a couple of blog posts I did earlier this year. They both talk about how uneven parts of Club Penguin are. First, you can read "The Mascot Method" here. Then, you can read my followup to that, "An Uneven System," which spans across a variety of Club Penguin subjects, here.

Picking the Puffles
Spike Hike recently revealed in a comment to Club Penguin Memories that the EPF will soon be the Team's big focus, as far as updates are concerned. Now, that's all nice and dandy - the EPF needs to be more active and have more layers. However, he said that the current focus - whose updates we are seeing as we speak - is on puffles.
Why? And, how does Club Penguin determine what needs to be updated?

The Early Bird Catches the Puffle
With the Halloween and Anniversary Parties just around the corner, it's time to start predicting what November (the month of my birthday!) will hold. While little is known about it, could little details scattered all around official Club Penguin things culminate into one big, puzzle that will tell us almost everything?

Infinite Instances
*The subject of this post was suggested by PufflePal26. Thanks a bunch! See the other post he suggested here.
Club Penguin recently revealed that they would rebooting their merchandising system in the near future. At the same time, Twitter has been ablaze with fans asking for a Club Penguin add-on to the popular new video game Disney Infinity. A Twitter petition was even created to try and persuade the mouse house to allow our virtual world onto the new game.
So, my question is: will it happen? And if so, when and how?

Review: Medieval Party 2013
This past summer we've been a little pampered....or tortured, depending on your point of view.
On the pampered side of things, the past three parties have been brand new; we really didn't know exactly what to expect whenwalking waddling into them.
Those same three parties were also Takeovers, which some might call torture.
But, now comes the first strictly Club Penguin, returning party since May - the-once-thought-axed Medieval Party. Huzzah!

The Puffle to End All Puffles?
It's been months since PH first pointed towards the skies and told us that a new type of puffle had been discovered - the long fabled Rainbow Puffle. It was the eleventh puffle ever found (my lucky number!). And even though that was in March, there is still a relevant question around it - could it be the last?

Review: My Penguin 1.2
After my initial 1.0 review, I never released a review for My Penguin 1.1 since it included only ported Club Penguin games and no new features (here's my review for that: Card-Jitsu Snow, Puffle Rescue's Black Puffle Pack, and the final few levels of Pufflescape work great on iPad and are nice additions). However, I have decided to start reviewing every major update to the application. And there's no better place to start than 1.2 - My Penguin's biggest update since launch.

Summer Secured?
Before the one that is currently occurring, the last summer oriented party was the Water Party in June 2008. But this time, could the Summer outing be here to stay? Will the Teen Beach Movie theme stick? And what does this mean for the Music/Ultimate Jam and other parties that this current event filled the void of?

Review: Teen Beach Movie
As I prepared to watch the newest Disney Channel Original Movie, I thought about the many things I had heard about Teen Beach Movie.
Some said that it was great - that you could watch it over and over again and still find enjoyment. Others said that it wasn't worth a watch.
And then there was my feeling about movie musicals, which isn't incredibly favorable.

The Canon Conundrum: Teen Beach Movie Edition
You may recall that when the Star Wars Takeover hit our Club last month, I made a post going through all the properties Club Penguin has crossed over with and determining how their stories connect with our site.

Beach Backlash
Tensions have been high in the last few months in the Club Penguin Community. After three Disney parties in four months, players have been a bit perturbed. And, while all of these parties have been well-received on the whole, with each new one, the annoyance seems to grow.
And now, after some rumors (which were correct), we know there will be a fourth Disney party - a summer music party to tie-in with the new DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie) Teen Beach Movie. Understandably, due to previous events of this nature, the response isn't all positive. You could say this is the boiling point (although some called the Star Wars controversy that).
But, this time, things feel different...

The 2013 Star Wars Dissection (2/3) Characters
The Celebration Item
The Club Penguin Team was at the official Star Wars celebration in Germany over the weekend. Through their Twitter account, they shared screenshots and info with those (including me :( ) who could not attend. Through this, we found out you could meet, chat with, and take pictures with the Team, enter a game contest for a membership prize, get a free two sided poster, play CP, and get an exclusive free item. What exclusive free item, you ask? Well, Club Penguin didn't tell us. And, since it seemed no one in the Club Penguin Twitter Community was able to attend the event, we couldn't ask a participant.
So, it's a cold case, you say? Well, it could be. But, could a single bread crumb answer our question?

The Canon Conundrum
Ever since the first Marvel Takeover was announced in 2012, I have tried to figure out how other worlds fit into Club Penguin canon. In this post, I will try and figure that out for all previous takeovers and face how Star Wars fits in - which may be the hardest one of them all to explain.
