School Shift

Modern Club Penguin has many marks that carry over from party to party, but one of the most prominent ones is the zany, colorful variety of the themes we get to see each month.  Every party from 2014 up until now has featured a new art style that doesn't fit in with regular Club Penguin.

So, one of the reasons the School and Skate Party was so refreshing was that everything fit in perfectly with rooms that didn't have any decorations.

Because of this - and the fact that Club Penguin has started to quietly sneak in new permanent room designs with parties more and more frequently - I have to ask: is the Skatepark the only thing from the current party that's here to stay?

In any year, the idea of a school party would probably be called out for obvious reasons.  However, with a release date this year, the idea was a huge risk, with fans already assuming that the final product would be very flawed.  But were they right or does 2014 still have something to prove?

The Problem With Club Penguin

2014 has been a horrible year for new Club Penguin content; that's been agreed on by basically everyone.  And, while there are many, many individual issues that you could point out - which have been stated numerous times by many different people - I think every single issue comes back to a single, large problem.

Review: Frozen Party

While I'm not a gigantic fan of Frozen, I was nonetheless excited when it was announced that Club Penguin planned to make a party based on the movie.  Coming off of the dreadful Music Jam, did it manage to finally get out of the 2014 slump?
