The Great 2016 Prediction Post

So, yeah...most of this will end up being wrong.

Hello From the Other Side

I'm back, people!

I know a lot of you have been waiting for my reviews of the past three parties.  I have been really busy lately and I'm sorry that I haven't posted anything here in awhile but rest assured, I will be reviewing them and what comes next very soon, but a little differently than usual.

I've felt that in the past few months my reviews have gotten a little bit redundant.  I feel that part of that is my fault and part of it is CP's fault, as the way they structure parties these days means that the same criticisms come up again and again.

So, in order to avoid this, I'm going to try something new;  for the next few months at least, I won't be reviewing each party individually, but instead, I am going to write a post every few months combining recent events.  This will allow me to discuss patterns within recent parties and talk about my thoughts on other pieces of news that aren't lengthy enough to get their own blog posts.

I'm not sure if I'm going to stick with this new system and you guys can tell me if you like it or not.  In the next few days, I'll have a 2015 retrospective post up that includes my thoughts on the recent parties and I will also have a 2016 prediction post.  See you soon!

Review: 10th Anniversary Party

I've spoken A LOT about how I've always felt that the Anniversary Party has been treated as a low priority event.  Up to this point, most of the events in its history have overlapped with - and have been unfairly influenced by - the Halloween Party, perhaps the most incompatible event for a birthday party that CP has ever come up with.  Additionally, the biggest Anniversary Party to date was the third one, which had a staggering four rooms decorated.  Could this year's party finally break the mold?

Review: Descendants Party

This party proves once and for all that the terms "mini party" and "main party" now have no meaning; parties are now whatever size they want to be.

Review: Monster Beach Party

I will admit I was pretty picky when it came time to review the first ever Club Penguin television special back in December.  It was a pretty solid little special in all actuality, though a few decisions that the production team made bugged me.  However, this follow up special is so well produced that I can't even find petty things to complain about. Rejoice!  Our long national nightmare is over!

Review: Fashion Festival

The Fashion Festival does a lot of things right....and a lot of things wrong.

Review: Inside Out Party

Inside Out turned out to be one of the best movies I have seen in years.  So, when it was announced CP was having a party revolving around the film, I was very excited.  After all, with CP having taken that unprecedented month off in June, this had to be a gigantic party with double the work time put in that would hit all of the necessary notes, right?  Right?!

Review: Festival of Snow 2015

After that inexplicable party-less June, could Club Penguin redeem itself with this thought-to-be-forgotten favorite?

Review: The Fair 2015

Last year's Fair had a few fatal flaws, but really on the whole wasn't bad.  Could it be fixed this year?

Review: Rainbow Puffle Party

I have made it quite clear how I feel about the Club Penguin app.  So, when it was announced there would be a mobile exclusive party, I groaned.  How could this be any good?

Review: Frozen Fever Party

2014's Frozen Party shouldn't have been bad.  Club Penguin had been given the rights to an incredibly strong and beloved franchise.  There was a wealth of possibilities for costumes, rooms, and storylines.

But a lack of work time - or a surplus of laziness - prevented those great possibilities from becoming reality.  The property was mismanaged, with strange decisions, demeaning quests, pointless wait times, no story, and too few rooms.

So, with such a "successful" first round, of course Club Penguin had the brilliant idea to bring it back.  But could the few tweaks the team even bothered to make save this filler party from the same fate?

Review: Puffle Party 2015

Following a pretty great January party and a pretty boring February event, the March 2015 party on Club Penguin seemed like it could go either way on the quality scale.  However, when it was revealed that the party was yet another puffle related event, it seemed certain that that scale would tip in the direction of low quality.  After all, two blissful, puffle-free months weren't enough to get the bad taste of the two dozen puffles from 2014 out of anyone's mouth......why would this party prove to be anything more than frustrating?

But, guess what?  This party wasn't bad.  Yes, a party about puffles wasn't bad.  In fact, it was actually pretty great.

Review: SoundStudio Party

The song that was made for the SoundStudio party is pretty cool and isn't repetitive.  The SoundStudio app is a fun, glitch-free way to waste time.  But the SoundStudio Party itself?  Nope, it's neither of those things.

Review: Star Wars Rebels Takeover

The Star Wars Rebels Takeover stands tall and might just signal something greater is coming.
