The Early Bird Catches the Puffle

With the Halloween and Anniversary Parties just around the corner, it's time to start predicting what November (the month of my birthday!) will hold.  While little is known about it, could little details scattered all around official Club Penguin things culminate into one big, puzzle that will tell us almost everything?

We start what we've been told about November's party.  In an interview, Spike Hike told us that the November party would be something lots of people have asked for.  These cruical words help form the first clue of the party.

Why?  Well, on an EPF discussion post on Club Penguin Memories, Spike Hike gave us a great, lengthy comment on the EPF's past and future.  In it, he confirmed that an EPF mission would come later this year, with the event being something lots of people have asked for.  He used the same exact phrase when alaborating on the EPF event as when explaining the party in November!

So, will there be a new EPF event in November, as this information suggests?  Well, there's a lot of proof to suggest yes.  First of all, November seems like the only place where such an event could happen.  October is all booked with the Anniversary Party and Halloween Party and December is all about Christmas and Coins For Change.  Additionally, the famous Operation: Blackout took place in November of 2012.

There's also one other key piece of proof that helps link the party to November. In the Halloween Party 2013 commercial, Herbert shows up in the background for a millisecond.  This is significant because Club Penguin likes to foreshadow the party in the next month of the year in material for that month's party.  For example, the Teen Beach Movie Summer Jam commercial for August foreshadowed September's Medieval Party with a dragon on a surfboard.  The Marvel Takeover of April had the same thing done to it in March's Puffle Party commercial.  The shoe sure fits nice on this theory.

This comes at eight seconds into the video.  Sorry for the low quality - there is no HD video at this time.

Then comes the question: if there's an EPF event in November, what will it be about? Well, the aforementioned Halloween 2013 commercial may hold a valuable clue.  In it, Herbert is ironically holding a paper, just as he did in the Ghosts Just Wanna Dance video, during his cameo.  However, unlike the sun with an "X" that foreshadowed Operation: Blackout in 2012, this paper shows a puffle.  This single detail is the catalyst for the rest of the post.

We've been told by Spike Hike that puffle features have been a major focus for Club Penguin during the past few months.  This is clearly shown will all the recent puffle developments, including the various stages of puffle digging, the new Pizza feature, and also various cosmetic updates to puffle related things.  And November appears to be the big event all of these small, nice little updates have building up to.

On the Club Penguin Membership page, there is a listing for new puffle surprises in November.  The picture there shows a nice, yet simple diagram of puffles with a big question mark in the middle.

But what does this have to do with Herbert and the EPF?  Well, aside from the poster in the new commercial, there appears to be plenty of things that tie them to puffles.

Take clubherbert.com's current status.  After the destruction of the Death Star in July, the site was updated with a threatening note from Herbert, which told us he would be back like the Terminator.  But there was something far more interesting - a diagram with, you guessed it, a puffle on it.

Then there are two more facts to take into consideration.  Spike Hike said the mission later this year would feature a secret that has been right in front of our eyes the whole time.  Given how big puffles are in the game, I think he is referring to these furry creatures.

In a separate interview, Spike said that the November party would take place in the wild, which is where Herbert hides out.  Going on the educated guess that the event in November will be the EPF mission, these two seem to blend well with each other.  They're a match made in........the Club Penguin Kelowna, Canada Headquarters (yep, that's definitely the old saying...).

Also, Herbert mentions having a plan for puffles in Mission 9 of the PSA series.  Could that plan FINALLY come to the light of day?

So, what does all this information come to?  The popular fan-made Operation: Puffle.  Now, while this fan creation isn't as popular as say tipping the 'berg, it has become very big quite recently.  If this fan creation saw the light of day on Club Penguin, this would explain why Spike Hike refers to the new mission as something fans have been asking for.

Club Penguin could be setting up the story right now.  In the 415th Club Penguin Times issue, PH mentions in the article she wrote that she is examining the new Puffle-O that Gary found for the final dragon potion during the Medieval Party.  Now, this in itself isn't to important.  This information could just be used as filler for an article.  However, she does say she'll report back when she finds out more about it.  This seems like a promise - I think we will hear more from her.  However, I don't think it will be this month, for Halloween.  I think this plot device will be used for November.  Maybe this special golden Puffle-O gives puffles a power that Herbert harnesses for evil?  This could be apart of that new surprise for puffles in November.

Perhaps she will be a mascot at November's party through this plot set-up?  After all, she should be seen more than once every year like the other mascots.

So, in closing, I could be completely off.  However, I think this jigsaw puzzle fits together a bit too neatly for none of it to be true.  Let's just hope that I have something right.

As Billybob would say, Waddle On!

  1. Isn't PH an EPF agent? It would make perfect sense if we saw her guiding us through the wild and helping the puffles, and stopping Herbert. (Who would pobably be at the party.) and Gary could be there too, (like the Hollywood party. When different mascots came at different times) Operation puffle makes a lot of sense.
