The Celebration Item

The Club Penguin Team was at the official Star Wars celebration in Germany over the weekend.  Through their Twitter account, they shared screenshots and info with those (including me :( ) who could not attend.  Through this, we found out you could meet, chat with, and take pictures with the Team, enter a game contest for a membership prize, get a free two sided poster, play CP, and get an exclusive free item.  What exclusive free item, you ask?  Well, Club Penguin didn't tell us.  And, since it seemed no one in the Club Penguin Twitter Community was able to attend the event, we couldn't ask a participant.

So, it's a cold case, you say?  Well, it could be.  But, could a single bread crumb answer our question?

Daffodaily5 shared a picture of the free two-sided poster on Twitter.  One side showed a checklist of all of the costumes available at the party (save for the R2-D2 puffle hat and My Penguin exclusive Boba Fett costume).  On it, there was a check mark that had already been filled in...

That check mark (in the top left corner) appeared to be pre-checked in.  It must have been printed onto the poster when it was created.  It was probably put there because the creators of the poster must have figured that you'd use the code they gave you - you might not collect the other costumes, but you would definitely get that one.

That check mark was below the TIE Fighter Pilot costume.  Thus, this must be the "exclusive" costume CP has been referring to.

But, now that that problem is solved, it creates a new one.  How can that costume be classified as exclusive?  It's the same one that Spike Hike recently tweeted the code for - BARONFEL.  The code for it is public knowledge.

The solution to that?  Well, there really isn't one.  It could be that Spike Hike accidentally tweeted the code without knowing the fact that it was supposed to be exclusive.  It could be the word "exclusive" was being used with artistic warrant - meaning it is exclusive to the select few who know the code from Twitter and the event.  There really is no answer.  But, boy am I glad Spike did reveal it.

So, rest easy, Club Penguin collectors.  You most likely have already entered the code for what-I-think-is the exclusive item.

UPDATE: @TweesTweets told me on Twitter that the code is "TFighter" and that it does indeed unlock the Tie Fighter costume.  So, in essence, the code is exclusive, but the costume is not.

As Billybob would say, Waddle On!
