Since premiering on Club Penguin Radio on Wednesday, Party In My Iggy has received a mixed response. This has been a pattern with Club Penguin Lyric Music, which some parts of the community resenting the Cadence/Penguin Band singles since The Party Starts Now came into our lives one fateful Sunday in 2012. There has never been straight up praise or hatred on the whole as far as lyric music is concerned.
I think this song is pretty catchy. The beat, as always, is good. While I don't like it as much as Anchors Away or Ghosts Just Wanna Dance, it is something that I have listened to over and over again.

As one Club Penguin Radio host pointed out, it has a Michael Jackson feel to it. It proves once again that Club Penguin can be very diverse in its music.
However, the lyrics are strange. It's always been weird to hear "igloo" and "puffle" being said in the Club Penguin songs, but this album has some ridiculous lines - some of them that sound nice but make zero sense when reading them typed up.

The music video is another aspect of the song. It is a nice, albeit short, one with some great presentations of igloos and My Penguin 3D penguins. However, I confess that I would have liked an animated video like the rest. Since we haven't seen a Animated Short since last August (are they still being made?) and since we get songs so rarely, I was hoping to see Cadence waving her flippers at me when I opened the YouTube page to watch the video.
And, on another slightly un-review like note, why is this song not on iTunes for sale? Club Penguin released the entire version for free download on their website. While I love that it doesn't cost a penny, why this song? The others were all available for a premium - what's up with the change? I also think a ringtone would be neat.

So, in closing, this song is pretty good. It may not be the best Club Penguin song, it may have nonsensical lyrics, it may sound slightly ridiculous, but it's still good Club Penguin fun that I would fork over some money over for. Here's to hoping after another four songs or so, there will be a The Party Starts Now... Again CD...
As Billybob would say, Waddle On!
