No Time Like the Present

Author J.K. Rowling once said that in a fantasy series, a writer has to be careful about what technology they create.  If they don't, plot holes could begin forming and the credibility of the book could be lost.

She was referring to one of her inventions in the Harry Potter series: a Time Turner, which allows the user to go back in time.

My question: has Club Penguin created something that messes a lot of things up?

For those playing along at home, you may have guessed what device I was talking about: the Time Trekker.

Gary created this device to travel back to basically the beginning of time.  That means that Rowling's solution for her characters not being able to go back and fix things from years before (the Time Turner can only go back in time so far, it is implied) does not apply here.

So, why doesn't Gary go back and stop everything Herbert has done before?

Now, before you throw the space-time-continuum fact in my face - the theory that you could mess time up if you change too much in past - consider what I have to say to prove Gary's theory wrong.

First, think about something - when you were collecting eggs at the Prehistoric Party in order to gain transformations and a hoodie, you were committing murder. (DUN-DUN-DUN!)

Those eggs contained little baby dinosaurs.  You taking them out of their hole sealed their demise.  They no longer had the warmth of the sand to survive.  Why are the animal rights groups not all over this?  What kind of monster are YOU?!

This means that those dinosaurs were never born, meaning their offspring was never born, and thus causing a chain reaction of parts of generations disappearing.  Maybe Gary the Gadget Guy caused the dinosaurs to go extinct!?

Gary could have caused another train wreck by taking away the food source of these smaller dinosaurs from larger ones.  Maybe these larger ones had to find another food source - perhaps animals we know today like puffles and penguins!  With these older relatives of today's species out of the way, the population of these guys would drop.

Maybe Gary inadvertently took away an ancestor to a great penguin inventor?!  Maybe he accidentally killed off a species of puffle in the name of science!?  How do PH and him still speak to each other?!  How is this man not behind bars!? 

Then there's the fact that some penguins from the past certainly saw us from 2013 wearing strange outfits and Gary using peculiar devices.  Could this change the course of history, with penguins from way-back-when inventing things thousands of years before they were meant to conceived?  Could this have changed the course of wars (if those have ever existed on our island) and other historical events?

Yet, despite this evidence, nothing has happened.  Could this mean the whole space time continum thing is just a lie?

And, if it is, couldn't Gary and some other agents go back in time and catch Herbert before he was aware of anything?  Couldn't they have stopped the PSA from ever being disbanded?  Couldn't they have saved a substantial amount of money since the earthquakes, the two HQ destructions, and other things would never have happened and nothing would have to be fixed?  Couldn't this solve a lot of problems?!
